Yep .. if you eat KFC.

LOW-LINOLENIC SOYBEANS."

See if you can spot the logical blunder in the above.

aint it a joke, omega 3's oxidise easily , hence frying ém leads to trans
fats. So they take out the ala.

Omega 3 rich foods should not be friend or grilled, baked or broiled.

Dude, enjoy your KFC but remember no matter what they say it is still junk.
It is a treat, not a food.

No, it means you eat fish baked or broiled, not grilled or fried.

Flax in the bread probably okay, don't really know, but I eat flaxseed meal
sprinkled on cereal and sandwiches.

People don't seem to appreciate that polyunsaturates are very easily
oxidised, that's why omega 3 supps come in opaque bottles(yes, even light
.... ) and with antioxidants thrown in the pills.

Yes, but you said:

>>> Omega 3 rich foods should not be friend or grilled, baked or

broiled.

Which seems to say that they shouldn't be fried, grilled, baked or
broiled, unless I missed something. :-)

what's really great about going to KFC is buying some extra chicken 2
piece meals and taking them to the PETA picketers.

Apparently some of them don't have a problem eating the chicken when
it's free.

The rest are extremely hilarious.

You are such a shithead, Mack; that's not an insult; I married a
shithead. Apparently, it amuses me to be with people with twisted brains.

Hubby wants to build a trebeche to deal with Jehovah Witnesses. This is
*so* the sort of smart-ass thing he'd do.

G'day G'day,

I believe John was making some valid points about the ease with
which ALA is oxidised.

Flaxseed is fine in bread. The carbon dioxide helps protect the ALA
from oxidation. Also in baking items such as biscuits the
temperatures are sufficiently low that the ALA isn't damaged if the
bakers are using flax fibre. Although the fibre is described as
defatted it still has a useful ALA content.

>>>People don't seem to appreciate that polyunsaturates are very easily

People? Yes refined ALA oil should always be kept in the dark. The
capsules should have black opaque coats and the oil should be sold in
black opaque bottles and be kept in the fridge. The defatted fibre is
much more stable and doesn't require refrigeration. It should however
be stored in black opaque containers or multiwalled bags for the
baking industry.

Best wishes
