Howdy Ros,
I will say if I eat instant oatmeal, the serving that comes in one of
those little bags, does not hold me for more than a couple of hours.
If I have a cup of old fashion oats, it last longer. If I have a cup
of steel cut oats, that will pretty much last me until lunch (for me 2
to 3pm, if eating at 8 or 9am).
I will tend to eat something anyway on the days I workout an hour or
two before working out, just to get some fuel in me, because after a
workout, I can't seem to eat afterwards, for about three hours.
