I always thought that a nooner, while often involving a bed, did not involve
sleep. Not that I am opposed a nooner followed by a nap.

My wife and I often take a little siesta. When summer hits in Arizona, it's
about the only thing to do when temps are around 116.

Hi Jeff,

I have heard the term used that way, too, but I was thinking of a simple
nap... The kind of nooner of which you speak can be re-invigorating also ;-)

Will, I am jealous, I cant nap for anything even if I take drugs. But
to me no doubt sleeping is wonderful

I never used to be able to but I get broken sleep these days
and can't wait for a little midday siesta.

As an aside, triggered by this thread, has anyone heard from
Sleepy lately? Hope he's OK.

Where is he, anyone know? The last post I know of was last August.

He was a big help to me when I first started posting here. I even had
an internet crush on him. ;-)

He got a part time job not too long ago. I'm sure it's keeping him busy.

The first entertaining medical magazine I've ever read. It's like National
Enquire meets the American Medical Journal. I'm still wondering why a 22
year old man would put cocoa butter on his ass and arm pits? And then there
is the Doctor that gave an injection of Hydrogen Peroxide to a woman and
killed her next to an article on the promise of the p53 gene for fighting
cancer and another scholarly article on intelligence. I will be coming back
for more from this ezine.

I was also wondering if perhaps people that are sleeping in the afternoon
are having less heart attacks because they are apparently missing out on
the the stress of working.

Yes, he posts in alt.support.diet.low-carb almost daily, so he's fine.
