Which is precisely why I qualified my statement with "Some" You're okay in

I think the thing for all of to do is to think about what it is that
we are hoping to accomplish by our being here... For some, it is
obviously hoping to learn more about diabetes, for others it is about
sharing that knowledge, for still others it is a matter of trying to
be helpful and supportive, especially in the mental attitude and
psychological ways... and for still others it is about finding common
ground and friendship, while sharing our common humanity amidst the
difficulties that diabetes presents.

I tend to think, Fris, that you are just as important as the most
vocal, the most learned, the silliest, the most serious, and the most
profound of us here. You very much belong with us, and I am very glad
you are here!

Before that actually. Originally was JBove but it left people wondering
what sex I was. I first came here in 1999 when I was pregnant and was told
I might have GD. I didn't post then. I guess I felt funny because there
were no other pregnant women here and I had not been told with certainty
that I did have it. I then came back in 2000 when I was told I had type 2.

Yes, I think I started posting my 1,001 questions back in 2004 or so
and you were so kind and helpful to me then Julie, as were many others
here. I remember being impressed that you were quite a cook, and now

I realized I got my dates off by a year. Came here in 1998 with GD and then
2000 with type 2. I thought you were here first. But I could be wrong.

Actually, Loretta, that's down the street aways. Last time I was there was a
head shop on the corner. We bought a 4 foot high hookah with a huge bowl.
Jeez, I can't even remember what happened to that hookah now. Last time I
remember seeing it was the night we brought it home. That's kinda curious.
