Default Soy Protein Shown To Benefit Patients With Type 2 Diabetes

http://www.newstarget.com/001620.html

Fascinating new research published in the Journal of Nutrition is
showing that isolated soy protein demonstrates remarkable health
benefits for people suffering from type 2 diabetes. In this research,
male military veterans who were undergoing treatment for the advanced
stages of type 2 diabetes were able to significantly lower unwanted
proteins in their urine while also slightly raising levels of HDL
cholesterol - the so-called "good" cholesterol -- in their blood by
eating soy protein.

Compared to casein.

G'day G'day Protagonist,

Unfortunately the newstarget article is not the research article
which would have been interesting but rather an opinion piece.

It contains some bits of emotional logic that don't make it as
critical thinking. For example it suggests one shouldn't drink milk
because it is meant for baby cows. By this logic one shouldn't drink
soy milk because that is for baby soys.

Whatever.

It has been reasonably well established for some years that it safer
to have a MIX of animal and vegetable sources of protein to preserve
and possibly repair kidneys than to rely solely on animal protein.

Best wishes,
