Default Still alive...:)

Wow, been busy the past few weeks. Finally got rid of that damn flu. Second
round of anti-biotics also managed to knock out that pesky sinus infection
as well. Best news of this period was seeing the cardiologist here in Reno.
Everyone should remember that I said that the cardio in Michigan said that I
had had a "silent" attack sometime last year.

Should also remember that I have been doing so well, health wise, that been
taken off some meds completely, and had a few cut. My BP and stuff has been
doing so well I talked to my primary about cutting my Coreg as it was
causing some minor ED issues once in a while. Being the super doc SHE is,
she wanted me to follow up with a cardio here before making a decision. Well
off I trot to the heart doc here. Show him the EKG and ECG results from last
year, and tell him what the cardio in Michigan said about the silent attack.
He's like, I don't think you did, and set up a stress test, and a new ECG.
Fast forward a couple of weeks, and in I go for the stress test.

Started out telling them how bad a stick I was, and that they should go in
through the knuckles on my index fingers. They never listen...lol. Tried
finding one on my arms, no joy. So they started trying the veins on the back
of my hands. The one nurse keeps apologizing because she can't get the veins
there to thread. I'm like, I TOLD you to go in through the knuckles. She's
like, well we don't want to hurt you, blah, blah, blah. Ummmm...Like what
the hell ya think you're doing scraping the bone with that damn needle?
ROFL!!

Well anyway, they finally listened after blowing 3 veins. Did the test with
no problems. Get a call the next day with results. NO scar tissue. NO
ischemia. NO blockages. Nothing. So basically the knucklehead in Michigan
decided I had a heart attack based on nothing but the old EKG. Been on Coreg
for nothing for more than a year. And yet we actually have some here that
think that doctors are infallible. Not gonna mention any names though, since
things have apparently been quiet and nice lately...

Things have been good otherwise though, if a bit hectic. Set up an internet
radio station with a group of friends on IRC, getting ready to move to a 5br
house in July or thereabouts, so been busier than a one legged man at an ass
kicking contest...lol

Hey DS,

Sounds like you're more than "still alive". :-) Congrats on the great news
about your heart! Awesome! Sounds like you've got a good doc now.

Good luck with your move. Moving is always a BIG job.

Wow! That would make me mad... a year of anxiety, not to mention the expense
of meds. I'll bet finding that it was unfounded was uplifting.
