It should be standard practice to profile the leg
temperature of most diabetics peiodically.
I used equipment that would serve this task
back in the early 1960's Allegedly a few found it
provided an excellent purpose on oberving
some females.
Better docs at least---- do thumb test.
Since the equipment requires LN2 to
put the sensor at the required low
temperatures. Funds should be provided
to promote it's use. It is a bit expensive
A scan will identify a lot of problems.
Glad the docs are finally noticing this
old equipment. A farmer here has
been using the cheap single point units for years.
I took a profile of my lost leg and it became
obvious he did not know what he was being
presented with.
Anyway the final cost of my case would have
paid for a lot of units. But the training of docs in it's use
would be a fortune. We had low grade techs usng
it easily. in couple of days.
But then,it takes time and knowledge to treat a condition
if it is noted.Just call it charcots foot and move on.,
