Cheri? How in the world was I unsupportive? Before Chuck got in touch
with you, I said that I had been wondering how you are too and hoped
you were OK. You posted that you were checking in, and I said it's
great to see you and to know that you're alive and kicking, and thanks
for letting us know. Tell me, Di, how was that unsupportive? You were
upset with another poster, and I was trying to reassure you that she
did care, even if she worded it differently than some of us might, and
I was just trying to say that people support in different ways,
especially when they have long histories with each other.
I would really like to see one post that I've ever made to you that
was unsupportive, mean, or judgmental. I know I haven't, not here, not
in a personal email, not anywhere, but it doesn't matter what I think,
it matters what you think, so block me if you need to. You know what's
best for you and your own situation.

I have seen very supportive posts to you today sent by Cheri. You may
wish to reconsider.
I don't believe Loretta is replying to your posts and I haven't been
paying much attention to what Alan has said to or about you recently.

Give her a chance Cheri. If she has had you in her KF she may not be
aware just how supportive you have been recently. Hopefully she will
see this one and the other I wrote about her list.

Chuck, I don't block anyone here. I just wanted to show it serves no purpose
and how it can hurt when someone does such things unless of course they
can't be hurt. If I were to have posted a real list there would have been a
couple more names on it but that was just a for instance to show naming
names hurts and does not serve a purpose.

Hi Julie, No honey you didn't miss anything. I was just showing how naming
names serves no purpose when speaking as a "general" thing. Alan wanted Guy
to name names and I feel there is no purpose in that. It can only cause hurt
or hard feelings. I have no one blocked. :-) |

This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read -- today, anyway.
This reminds me so much of first grade -- passing notes and being mean
just "because."
General, sweeping nameless allegations are in the same category. I
liken it to talking about people behind their back. If Guy, or you,
have a real problem with someone, you should address it *with them*
preferably in private email, but if you choose a public forum, then
the person you are talking to should *know* you are talking to them.
I don't know how many times I've seen you apologize and get upset (and
leave) at someone's allegation or complaint -- a statement that has
*nothing* to do with you -- simply because it was general and shot out
at everyone in the group. So you assumed they were talking to you.
Since you didn't respond to the post I wrote to you the *last* time
this happened, I assume you were either already gone and didn't read
it, or decided I was not "supportive."
I don't know what your definition of "support" is, but it certainly
isn't mine. All I've seen here is people asking how you are,
congratulating you on your successes -- as big or small as they may be
-- and walking on eggshells to try to keep from offending or hurting
you.
It occurs to me that the best way to support you in this NG is by
simply not responding to you. Anything else becomes some kind of
insult or offense -- or part of some game I don't know the rules to
and am not interested in playing.

I can see why you posted Loretta's name but I can also see why Loretta said
what she said. Not that I'm taking sides here mind you. Just can't see why
Cheri and Alan were listed. If there's a REASON to name names, then that's
a different matter. Name the names and say what it is they did wrong. |

But if she was making a point, I missed that as well. All I know is that

She was just trying to demonstrate how it feels to be called out an
KF'd. She sure faked ME out of my jockey shorts. I thought it was a
pretty effective way of making a point.

Because it made no sense. I could see why (just maybe) she might have KF'd
Loretta, but not Alan and Cheri. Had their been a reason for it, it would
have made sense. As it stands, it made no more sense than Guy's post about
the complaints.
If someone says they are KF'ing someone else for no apparent reason, it
isn't going to make that person feel bad. Just confused. |

You've got to be kidding. There are those who are in my KF (not naming
names) who have post after post after post. I am not about to skim through
all of those, or those who care to reply to them. One in particular. I
will refer to them as the cardiologist, the Aspartame troll and the iron
guy. Anyone who has been here for any length of time knows who I mean.
Children probably shouldn't be using newsgroups. My daughter hangs out at
disney.com and games2girls.com. If I find out she is hanging out in
newsgroups and KFing people, I might get concerned. Then again, she is
pretty mature for a 9 year old. I'm sure it wouldn't take her long to
figure out how to do it.
And now you just say we need to be concerned about one post today. What one
post is that? This is just maddening. Are you by any chance a Cancer? I
know we have a tendency to go about things in a sideways fashion, just like
the crab. But I guess I have enough Leo in me that I can be more direct. |

Glad I gave you a big smile :-) Just wanted others to see how "names" could
hurt or cause hard feelings and I proved my point. Now they are mad at me
and wanting to bring past hurts in but I expected that. |

Ok
Alan has been very testy this time around. Cool so to speak. Like it was a
cardinal sin I took time away.
Cheri hurt me in agreeing that I come for a "pity party" when I do not nor
do I come for a "fix" I do have a life outside ASD and when I came back and
seen how Loretta was talking about me to Wendy "behind my back" I might add
that is what angered me. She has no right. Then to say she was once my
friend and no longer is and "I know why" yes I know why however my proof
went down the tubes in a computer crash. She claimed I did not stand beside
her and support her in the time of her Step Father's death and that was a
blatant lie. She hurt me deeply and I have tried to overcome that and now I
have. |

I hadn't noticed. I don't think Alan and I get along particularly well
though. Nothing in particular. Just personality differences.

Well, I guess I missed that part.
But I still don't understand the part about you KF'ing them and not really
doing it. But whatever. This whole thing is giving me a headache. |

I disagree. You are not the blame. You have every right to post your
feelings on anything that bothers you. Support in this group is "Anything"
that effects us in our lives with diabetes. Meaning the Good, Bad, Sad etc. |

Exactly Julie that was what I was trying to convey. Alan wanted Guy to name
names and I was showing how doing that hurts !!! |

Sorry to hear that; I thought we got along fine. I like you
Julie, I just disagree with much of your advice on diet when
your own allergy restrictions and dislikes are unique. That
doesn't mean I dislike you at all.
