| | | well i figured out what was wrong..lol I was running high bg and it would go relaly high if i took my meds.
So i went to the doc and she gave me a battery of tests found a few off
things she was concerned about...i had a mri sat..fingers crossed its
nothing..but anyhoo i asked her as i left if she could give me somthing for
my sinus infection cause i was smelling smoke and dust and perfume when
there was none which always means i got a sinus infection..well that and
icky stuff when blowing my nose.<tmi i know sorry..lol>
She prescribed me a mass dose of amoxocillin and by the next day my bg was
perfect and in fact my meds drove me low..real low..so i got to take less
again like before the big numbers started.
Just goes to show ya what a infection can do!
Some of ya called it and well kudos to ya ..yer right!

Sinus infection shoots my bg's to the moon, always. I end up needing double
doses of antibiotics to shift it these days. |

When my bg's start flip flopping like they did (250 to 107 then 231 to 93)
that's usually indicative I have an infection going on somewhere. In my case
was the staph, is a massive abscess..
Right side of my face is swollen, I sound like Bill Murray on Caddy Shack
when I talk, and eating is hell. Feels like I have a pinch of Skoal in. Doc
has me pumped full of Clyndamycin as I am deathly allergic to any of
the -cillin family, but doesn't seem to be doing all that well other than
breaking the fever. But anyway, glad your stuff got cleared up, and hope you
have a good holiday.

A little live-culture yoghurt should counteract that effect. Get plain
full-fat (if you can), and don't believe the carb count on the
container. Apparently the report the carb count of the milk the yoghurt
is made from, and some of the lactose is consumed in the
yoghurtification. This is confirmed by a lot of people's testing. If you
don't like the taste, doctor it. You can add some Splenda or a teaspoon
of sugar-free jam, or something savory if you prefer that.

If you don't like yogurt, take acidodelphis pills. Unlike yogurt you know
the amount of acidodelphis you are getting.

I have been suffering form some kind of inner ear problem he last few
days. On sunday I couldn't hold anythn ing down, even as litle water as I
got so dizzy with every move. Well, I neither took my meds nor tested my
bgs (too much movement toin testing). ON Monday I was quite a bit better
so tested in the am and got a 115 fbg, considerably higher than my usual
90's. eat lightly adn drank quite a bit an had rediculous bgs all day lie
168 1 1/2 hours after eating a small low carb lunch, 128 before dinner of
low carb chicken-vegetable soup 145 1 1/2 hours pp adn 128 at about 1 1/2
hours. this am 105, so a bit better. I think it was allthe stress and
believe me, it was stress! Throwing up on n emppty stomach is the pits!
Not looking for sympathy here, as it has mostly passed, only a little
dizziness in the morning in bed moving my head, but just noting my bgs and
hoping they do a bit better today. I will be testing lots!
Merry Christmas to all of you and I am so happy that it is not my holiday
to be missing today :-)

I do the same. We add sardines, or tuna, or anchovies, or olives, to the
yogurt before letting it sit all night in a coffee filter, losing all its
water. It becomes a very creamy, lo-fat cheesee spread, great for breakfast.
Also very good with veggies.

I tried the Greek yoghurt from Trader Joes a few months ago. It was a
lot thicker than the yoghurt I'm used to, and I didn't much care for it.

Can you guys buy Easy-Yo kits out there and make it yourself? I make a
kilo or so a week of Greek yoghurt, it's a staple food for Elder
Daughter and I...

I used to buy Stonyfield Farms organic yogurt - the organic
cream-on-the-top stuff.
I've since discovered Fage, a brand of Greek yogurt - very thick, very
creamy, very good. It's almost as thick as sour cream. *Just* a bit
better than the SF stuff.

The problem with the Fage, and the reason it's so sweet, not sour, is
that it's barely fermented at all, IME. The only yogurt I need lactase
to eat.
