As you know, I do a lot of reading in all sorts or areas.... Well,
here is an curiously interesting article about a recent study about
what it takes to be a "babe magnet"... One suggestion is that the
"caveman look" is preferred....

Well, it did used to sometimes cause me to wonder why some of the ugliest
guys get to hang out with more than their share of attractive women.... And
then it dawned on me, I was very lucky in that way, also.... Maybe I am just
a caveman, at heart ;-)

Although, for me scruffy is definitely not the way I prefer to be.....

I've never cared for the "scruffy" look at all. To me, it just looks
like laziness, and many times it is. :-)

LOL Guy. My uncle was a bachelor and he used to quote someone that
said "All the girls I wanted, didn't want me, and the ones that wanted

As a bachelor, I'm always interested in this subject and as you might
suspect, google turns up a relevant study that confirms what many
guys, both married and single, have suspected all along. I've copied

A study conducted by UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed
that the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ
depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle.

For example: If she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with
rugged and masculine features.

man with scissors lodged in his temple and a bat jammed up his butt
while he is on fire.

Further studies in this area have been cancelled.

Johnny Depp doesn't do anything for me personally, but Justin Timberlake.. I
am usually not into facial "stubble", either shave it or grow it properly (I
prefer clean shaven). But JT's stubble has sucked me in. When I heard that
tickets for an upcoming concert of his had gone on sale yesterday I was
trying to figure which bank I could rob to buy a ticket!

Those youngsters do nothing for me, but I'm still missing Elvis, and
Bobby Hatfield, and would buy a ticket to see them even if they would
be old now. Course I still like Mick Jagger too. :-)

Ted Bundy just had no sense of style and grace, so as to know what to

There is an awful lot of widom there, John... more than many reading
this may realize. I had a sense of that, just before my own mother
died in 1968, of breast cancer. Hers was a horrible death of great
pain and agony. She endured a couple of extra years of multiple
surgeries, chemo, and radiation, so that she could live to be with her
children for a little bit longer.... One of my sisters was only four
years old at the time.

Moms are really the most special people on earth... and among the most
mysterious.
