Default Yeast Infection(s) - Seriously

Anyone ever suffer from chronic yeast infections caused by their diabetes?

If so, what course of action did you take to remedy this?

My understanding is that chronic yeast infections can be a result of
blood sugar levels that are consistently out of control. Getting one's
blood glucose levels under control would help if not solve that
situation.

Are you type 1 or type 2? What meds and/or insulin are you on? How do
your blood glucose tests run? How often and when do you test?

Priscilla, type 2

I had a fungus growing on my right leg and ankle for about a year.... It was
pure misery. The way I finally beat it was with a combination of anti-fungal
creams prescribed by my doctor and tight control overy my blood sugar. Once
I learned how to control the blood glucose levels effectively, the fungus
slowly became a thing of the past.

Before diagnoses I had a terrible yeast infection under my arms and breasts.
I told my sister who is an RN ..she told me to get the over the counter
cream and rub it into the rash and call my Dr to get checked for Diabetes I
did and was diagnosed...as soon as I got in control I had no more yeast
infections.

If it's localized that might do it.
