The new OTC diet pill,
Alli, besides being quite expensive comes with
some bothersome side effects: 1) If you eat very much fat while on
Alli, you apparently get rapid-onset diarrhea. 2) The labeling states
that to lose weight you need to eat less fat (anyway). 3) The actual
weight loss is rather meager, IMO.
To me, an E-collar like they use to train dogs is about the same as
taking Alli. Eat too much fat and you get zapped. Negative
reinforcement it's called. If you want to lose weight and need to
reduce your fat intake (anyway) even if taking Alli, you might as well
push the plate away one bite sooner than you would with Alli and avoid
the discomfort, potential embarrasment and cost plus any future
unknown health risks, and still lose your weight. dkw
