Default artificial sweeteners

Are there any besides splenda, aspartame and sacchrine? My sis, who is not
well, says they have all gotten bad for her (tasting bad and gritty ) and
she would like to know if there is anything else.
Thanks, Jackie

stevia. Personally, I don't care for it, but it's another option.

There's Acesulfame-K (Acesulfame potassium). Trade names are Sunett and
Sweet One. I've never tried it (except when it's included in artificially
sweetened products) so I don't know what it tastes like.

I got some smuggled cyclamates from Canada once. It seemed like good stuff.

I can't seem to find this on Google, except as an ingredient in another
product.

(fixed the posting order)

That's odd because the first 3 hits when I googled it give the brand names
of Acesulfame-K as Sunett and Sweet One.

Thanks.
I was in Google's product search section.

It looks like they mix it with Dextrose (sugar) like the Splenda people use
maltodextrin.

Store locator does not show any within 100 miles. I haven't decided if I
want to order it. If it did not have the sugar in it, I would have already
punched in my credit card....

Actually the Splenda packets contain dextrose also. I know my local store
sells Sweet One but I'm happy with Splenda so I've never tried it.

If you don't have a problem with isomalt maybe you should check out
DiabetiSweet. It doesn't contain dextrose or maltodextrin. The down side is
that it doesn't appear to be available in packets.

Liquid Stevia is wonderful! I have a small bottle I carry in my purse
for Starbuck's lattes. I can't stand all their sugary syrups. It's
great for use in koolaid too.

Go back to real sugar. Forget all the crap chemicals.
Artificial sweetners only encourage the sweet tooth for more and
doesnt help rewire the brain.
Limiting your sugar intake on the other hand stops the cravings and
ends up being a real treat when you do indulge.
