Default the Beyonce diet

Beyonce Knowles reportedly uses this diet. It's a liver-and-colon detox
called the Master Cleanse. You can lose a lot of weight in just two
weeks. The Master Cleanse involves mixing 8 oz. of water with 2 Tbsp.
of maple syrup, 2 Tbsp. of lemon juice, and a pinch of cayenne pepper.
Drink 8 to 12 glasses of this brew daily. The drink is referred to as
Lemonade. I got this from the First For Women magazine.

I saw an interview with her. She did this to lose weight temporarily
for her role in Dream Girls -- said it was pretty yucky. She has
since -- intentionally -- gained the weight back -- prefers her normal
curvy figure. So I wouldn't really say she uses this as a matter of
course.

This doesn't make sense to me. It is food with calories, especially the
maple syrup. Eating just that and not altering your diet otherwise
would not cause you to lose any weight. The pepper might give you
diarrhea which would cause you to lose water for a very short time, but
that is not weight loss, just dehydration. It is just a gimmick. dkw

The maple syrup is about the only thing with calories in it. The juice has
next to nothing. 2 tablespoons of maple syrup have around 100 calories. If
you were actually able to drink 8 glasses of this stuff a day, you'd be
taking in only 800-900 calories. You'd definitely lose weight on that, even
if you drank 12 glasses. I would much rather have 800-1200 calories of real
food. My liver & colon can stay dirty.

Wait a minute. You mean drinking that stuff is your ONLY calories in a
day? Well, heck yes you'd lose weight. You'd lose weight if you only
ate 8 oz of butter a day too. I didn't realize it was your diet. Even
worse! It moronic. dkw

How much does she exercise? How often had she gone on and off this plan?
