Default Broad Jump

We had team broad jump training last night--my best of three was 5'3".
I'm aiming for 6' by the contest--February 10th.

Anybody have any suggestions as to how this 5'1" female can improve her
jump? I've been working on being flexible and have been making my squats
more explosive, also have been doing "visualization" exercises to
picture myself springing to that six foot line. Any thoughts?

Oh, and lets up the chatter a bit--the spammers are more prolific than
we of late.

Check out: www.usatf.org

I would think that doing sprint sessions; speed work would help.

Look, to make recommendations that are truly useful, I need to have a
heck of a lot more info that this. What is your strength training
regimen, how old, etc etc etc.
