Default checking in, 28 months at goal

Hi all, thought I'd check in (its been MONTHS) and let my old friends know
I'm alive, kicking, and still at my goal range. Yippee! Good way to start
the new year!

I survived a trip to Europe (lost 2 pounds on the trip) and survived this
past Christmas and New Years celebrations. Haven't meandered more than 5 or
6 pounds above my goal weight since I reached it on September 21 of 2004.

I still cannot believe I lost all that weight, it seems like a dream when I
think about it. I don't know if I'd have the energy to do it all over
again, so I make sure I stick on program every day, every hour.

Anyway, healthy eating has become a way of life for me now. Just this past
week I made my own whole wheat pasta, totally by hand, and loved it! Loved
it so much I invested in a pasta attachment for my Kitchenaid stand mixer.
Recipe couldn't be simpler, whole wheat flour, eggs, and water. We don't
bring anything into the house that isn't on our food plan, and have all but
stopped eating out away from home. That suits us just fine.

My sweetie has followed my inspiration and lost over 100 pounds in the last
two years, so we are very happy.

Thanks again for all your support and encouragement as I was losing my
weight, you were more important to me than you will ever know. God bless
you.

Hi Chris! You are doing well yourself! Congratulations, and have a happy
new year also. Isn't feeling thin WAY better than what we're not eating may
taste like? =)

It's great to hear from you again and hear how successful you are. I was
thinking of you recently because there was a recent situation here that
reminded me of the unpleasantness that made you go the first time. I am so
happy that you're still so successful. Living well is definitely the best
revenge. Are you still doing WW?

It's good to hear from you, Dewolla. Looks like you're conquering
maintenance just as successfully as you did the weight loss phase.
Congratulations to your 'sweetie', too. 100 lbs is fantastic.

Keep in touch.

Hi. Yes, not only am I still doing WW, I'm a WW leader! I get to pass on
to others the encouragement and understanding I've received from others, and
they hold me accountable for my own weight so I guess in that sense I'm
"using" them to help me. I don't think they mind, though.

Its good to hear from you again too Beverly. I still have my struggles with
food but they are isolated moments which cause little damage, and I can
easily recover. I think one of the reasons I've been successful on
maintaining is that it was about three months after I got to my goal weight
that WW started the Core plan. Its a perfect fit for me and makes it very
easy to eat properly.
