Default Food & Exercise -- 1/24/2007

Went to the gym, then out to lunch with DH (sushi buffet), then to
Jiffy Lube to get my car prepped before driving to North Carolina this
weekend.

Food:

* 8:00 (home): 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 3 slices
melted f/f cheese & 10g grated parmesan
* 10:45 (gym, between lifting & yoga): energy bar
* 1:00 (Japanese buffet): 4 small pieces assorted sushi (about half
normal size); 4 pieces assorted sushi roll; tablespoon full each of
two hot dishes -- one beef & veggies, one chicken & veggies; 1 small
dumpling; 1/3 orange
* 3:00 (home): mini chocolate truffle
* 7:45 (home); 4 oz. ground turkey breast burger on whole wheat
hamburger bun w/ 3 slices f/f cheese, dill pickle slice, & catsup

Totals: 1203 calories, 31g fat (23%), 103g carbs (34%), 126g protein
(42%) {Kind of light, but I'm feeling kind of headachy and don't want
more. And we'll be eating out the next two nights -- probably
relatively light tomorrow, but a wine dinner on Friday.}

Exercise:

* 10:00 -- Lifting -- Olympic lifting: power snatch; overhead squat;
front squat rising to split jerk (with power clean to start each set);
good mornings

* 11:00 -- 75 minute yoga class -- focus on hip flexors

It isn't really my wish to go that low, in general. I just wasn't
feeling great last night so didn't see any point in eating any more. I
went to bed early and feel good this morning. (Though I doubt I'll
get out to run today -- it's cold and snowy.)

Chris, what brand/type of fat free cheese do you use? Every one that I've
ever tried (and admittedly, it's been a long time!) has tasted horrible to
me (both flavor and texture, AND unmeltable!)

kind regards

I use Kraft slices. I can't really comment on taste, as it's
subjective. But if has been a long time since you tried it, I think
it may have changed, as it definitely melts. I think I recall that it
once didn't.
