Default Food & Exercise -- 10/17/2006

Spent the day driving on our way to Minneapolis. We're spending the
night in Elyria, OH -- a bit west of Cleveland. It was a sort of tough
drive, as it was dark and rainy much of the day. I've eaten somewhat
too much -- in an intentional "vacation mode" :-) -- and gotten no
exercise -- just too tired tonight.

DH and I are here in the hotel room with our two laptops, and I've
spent the last couple of hours organizing all my downloaded music in
iTunes and putting a bunch of new stuff on my Nano to play in the car
tomorrow. (We just got Sirius radio installed in the car. Among other
things, this has the capability to plug in one's iPod and control it
from the console.)

Anyway -- a not very healthy day's eating:

* 7:30 (home): 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 3 slices
melted f/f cheese & 10g grated grana padano
* 10:00 (driving): energy bar
* 12:15 (diner-like restaurant): 1/2 cup broccoli salad (which turned
out to be something with lots of sweet creamy dressing, crumbled bacon,
& cheese -- not what I'd anticipated!); hot turkey sandwich (about 3
oz. turkey breast, 1 slice of bread (came with 2 -- didn't eat one), &
gravy); a couple of French fries
* throughout the afternoon (driving): 6 caramels
* 7:15 (local burger hangout -- highly recommended by hotel staff):
fairly small double-decker hamburger -- not a lot of beef, but had a
mayonnaise-like sauce on it; 1/2 piece of butterscotch pie (sort of
butterscotch pudding in a crust -- ate almost none of the crust or the
whipped topping, just some of the butterscotch)

Totals: 1897 calories, 73g fat (35%), 201g carbs (42%), 104g protein
(22%)
