Default Food & Exercise -- 10/6/2007 (yesterday)

Yesterday was a bit of a splurge day -- not huge quantities of food,
but not the most dietetic -- and lots of wine :-). After hip-hop in
the morning, I ran a few errands and then stopped by a local wine shop
that was celebrating its second anniversary. They had a bunch of
wines out for tasting, along with lots of cheeses, pates, olives,
etc. So this was lunch :-). In the evening we went out for dinner
with a group of friends. My two closest women friends, Suzanne and
Mary Anne, turned 50 this weekend, so this was a big celebration.

Food:

* 7:30 (home): oatmeal w/ peanut butter, flax seed, & mixed dried
berries
* 10:00 (driving to hip-hop): 1 pack Sun Chips
* 12:00 (driving to store): energy bar
* 1:30 (wine shop): tiny tasting samples of ~20 wines -- probably 1
1/2 glasses total; ~2 oz. cheese, 1 oz. pate, a couple of olives, and
~4 bite-sized pieces of bread
* 7:00 (restaurant): small pours of 6 different wines -- maybe 2 1/2
glasses total; a couple of bites of bread w/ olive oil; 1 1/2 oz. foie
gras w/ pear relish on a mini corn cake; 3 sea scallops w/ a balsamic
glaze, accompanied by lightly-sauteed fresh spinach; bananas foster

Exercise:

* 10:30: 1 hour hip-hop cardio class
