This morning we had breakfast with my MIL at a diner near her home,
then drove up to Penn Yan, NY, where we're staying at a B&B for 3
nights. We had lunch on the road and dinner in a restaurant here. It
was a pretty drive, though the colors aren't all that far along for
this time of year. It has been unseasonably warm, though the
temperatures here are supposed to drop throughout this week.
Food:
* 8:30 (MIL's house): small glass orange juice
* 9:30 (restaurant): 2 fried eggs; 1 1/4 peanut butter cup pancakes
(yeah, I know :-) ); 1 glass orange juice
* 12:30 (restaurant): chicken caesar wrap -- ate about 3/4 of it
* afternoon (driving -- car snacks): 1 Medjool date; 1/2 oz. mixed
nuts
* 4:30 (lounge in the B&B): 3/4 oz. mixed nuts; 1/2 glass each of
Virginia white wine blend and Australian grenache (leftover wine from
last night that we brought along)
* 7:00 (restaurant): 1 small cup onion soup (not the kind with cheese
on top); grilled scallops (~ 8 small ones -- served on rice which I
ate none of); sweet potato fries -- ~3 oz.; ~1/4 cup of stewed
tomatoes; 2 glasses wine (Finger Lakes semi-dry Riesling)
