Default Food & Exercise -- 11/8/2006 (yesterday)

Went to the gym in the morning, ran a couple of errands, then did a
few things around the house. In the evening we went out to a fancy
dinner (celebrating the election results :-) ). I ate and drank a
fair bit -- well worth the calories, though. But I'm heading out this
afternoon to go to a 2 1/2 day wine event -- the annual conference of
the American Wine Society, which is up in Baltimore this year. So I
expect to be indulging some during that time (but hopefully not
drinking too much -- don't feel like it after last night!). After
that I go directly to Dayton on business through Thursday, and I
expect to eat quite moderately when there.

Anyway, for yesterday:

*7:45 (home): 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 3 slices
melted f/f cheese & 10g grated parmesan
* 10:45 (gym, between lifting & yoga): energy bar
* 2:15 (home): 4 oz. ground turkey breast burger on whole wheat
hamburger bun w/ 3 slices f/f cheese, dill pickle slices, & catsup
* 7:00 (restaurant): 17 oz. wine; 4 small pieces of bread w/ 2 pats
butter; appetizer of a very small whole lobster (removed from the
shell) with 2 tiny johnnycakes (sort of pancakes) and a vanilla butter
sauce; "surf & turf" w/ 3 oz. beef tenderloin, 2 oz. shrimp; 3 oz.
oven-roasted new potatoes; 1 cup goat cheese ice cream in a sort of
nutty cookie shell w/ 1/2 cup mixed berries; 1 small chocolate

Totals: 2472 calories (310 from alcohol), 71g fat (26%), 210g carbs
(34%), 161g protein (26%)

Exercise:

10:00 -- Olympic lifting: power snatch; muscle clean w/ push press;
snatch pulls; overhead squats

11:00 -- 75 minute hatha yoga class

Send me an email if you want to meet for dinner while you're in Dayton.
We can always visit The Greene and check out their restaurants and
shops.

I'm going to celebrate the elections with a bike ride tomorrow. The
weather is supposed to be gorgeous so BF and I are heading to a nearby
park to do some hill climbing.

Hi Beverly,

I sent an email the other day -- don't know if you got it. I used the
address that your ASD posts say they're from, as I couldn't find the
one I normally use. How about if you send me an email:
braun_chris@mindspring.com, and I'll write back.

I'm just about to shut down the computer and get in the car and drive
to Baltimore.
