Went for a run this morning, then packed to head out of town for a
week. This afternoon I drove up to Baltimore to attend the American
Wine Society national conference. We had a reception this afternoon --
wine & light hors d'oeuvres. In the evening there was an amateur wine
judging event, then a hospitality room with lots of wines one could
taste (I mean, like hundreds -- you just browse around and taste some
here and there). I think most people had dinner between the two
events, but I wasn't hungry for it.
Incidentally, most of this tasting involves just a few sips, then
dumping whatever may still be in your glass. (At least, that's the
idea if you don't want to get drunk, and I didn't :-).)
Food:
* 10:00 (home): 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole grain bread w/ 3 slices
melted f/f cheese & 10g grated parmesan {Ate late -- didn't wake up
hungry after last night's big dinner.}
* 1:15 (home): 4 oz. ground turkey breast burger on whole wheat
hamburge bun w/ 3 slices f/f cheese, dill pickle slices, & catsup
* 2:45 (driving to Baltimore): Tootsie Pop
* 4:00 -- 6:00 (reception): 2 small pieces of bread; 2 oz. cheese; 1
oz. ham; 2 oz. grilled veggies; 4 oz. wine
* 6:15 (hotel check-in desk): medium-sized chocolate chip cookie
* 8:30 -- 11:00 (wine judging and hospitality suite): 4 oz. wine
* 11:45 (hotel room): Tootsie Pop
Totals: 1370 calories (151 from alcohol), 33g fat (22%), 121g carbs
(35%), 103g protein (30%)

9:00 -- 3 mile run
