Did my usual Friday morning gym stuff, then came home for lunch. After
lunch I went over to Bull Run Conservancy -- where I go climbing often
-- to talk to them about doing some volunteer work for them. I signed
up to work Tuesday afternoons, travel schedule permitting -- mostly
administrative stuff. On the way home I stopped by the winery (which
is conveniently on the way :-) ). Then tonight I went to a Thai
restaurant and then to the opera (Susannah) with friends.
Food:
* 7:45 (home): 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 3 slices
melted f/f cheese & 10g grated parmesan
* 12:30 (driving home from gym): energy bar
* 1:15 (home): 4 oz. ground turkey burger on whole wheat hamburger bun
w/ 3 slices f/f cheese, dill pickle slices, & catsup
* 3:00 (winery): 5 oz. wine
* 6:15 (Thai restaurant): 1 strip pork sate (about 1 oz.); 1 cup lemon
grass soup w/ shrimp (4 medium shrimp); 5 oz. salmon w/ curry sauce
(This was a very large serving of salmon; I brought half home with
me.)
* 7:30 (pre-opera wine & cheese thing): 1 oz. wine; 1/2 oz. cheese
Exercise:
10:00 -- Lifting -- legs: walking lunges w/ bar on back; stiff-legged
deadlifts standing on flat side of BOSU ball; leg extensions; leg
curls; calf extensions; hip abductor; hip adductor
11:00 -- 75 minute vinyasa yoga class
Plus about 3/4 mile walk each way between the restaurant parking lot
and the concert hall.
