| | | Food & Exercise -- 5/20/2007 Went for my usual Sunday morning run. This evening DH and I went out
for dinner to celebrate his birthday -- to Morton's Steakhouse -- just
got home from there. Ate and drank too much :-).
Food:
* 7:15 (home): oatmeal w/ flax seed & peanut butter
* 11:45 (home): 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 3
slices f/f cheese & grated French hard cheese
* 3:45 (home): energy bar
* 6:45 (Morton's): a couple of chunks of bread w/ butter; salad w/
iceberg lettuce, chopped egg, & blue cheese dressing (ate only about
1/4 of the very large serving); 1 1/2 large shrimps w/ bread crumbs &
butter; 1/2 crab cake; ~ 1/3 portion each of French fries & green
beans {split these w/ DH; didn't finish either}; filet mignon {took
around 1/2 of it home}; molten chocolate cake; 2-3 glasses of wine
Exercise:
* 9:15: 3 mile run

Here is mine; It's hard to keep up with you :-) I still wonder if u r
in ur 20s
May 20
8am
2 Banana
1 cup tea, and 1 or 2 bread -- homemade of whole wheat, and omelet. My
family love eggs in the morning, couldn't say know, beside I am the
host!
Mostly everything I eat is homemade.
4:30pm
2 or perhaps 3 bowls! of pasta mix with saute broccoli, peas, and
tomatoes. I also throw yesterday salad. Very taste.
Evening I did eat some bread with honey, and tea (although, I didn't
write it in my book).

Nope, still 59 :-). On ther other hand, I'm a retired person rather
than a student, which makes it somewhat easier to fit things in.

Nothing wrong with eggs. Eggs are good! In general you don't eat
enough protein, I think. Your diet is very heavy in carbs compared to
what I would prefer.

I hope I have the energy like you, when I'm a grandpa :-)
See my timetable -- They have even cmpressed the courses. Next time I
will only take one, or two summer classes, and somewhere in New
England. http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne...8656688&size=l

I really wanna eat brain food :-) What do you think I should change?
Gimme some examples. I would try to add it -- can't promise anything
though :-)

That is indeed a very busy schedule!
Are you moving to New England? I had the impression (perhaps
mistaken?) that you lived somewhere in Canada. DH and I both went to
Brown University in Providence, RI. We're heading up there tomorrow
for his 40th reunion this weekend, then a bit of touring around Cape
Cod & southern Maine.

Oops -- missed this when I replied just now. Anyway, I don't know
about brain food -- not sure there's really any such thing :-).
However, if it were me I'd drop some of the bread, cereals, and such
in favor of more proteins like chicken, fish, & eggs.

Happy Birthday to DH!
I've been trying to catch up on the group. It's been a busy start to
the cycling season. I need to get the miles in before tackling two 7
day tours in July and August. Scheduling two tours just a week apart
was probably not the brighest idea I've had

If you got the wrong impression, you can safely balme me - I like to
move to New England. Toronto is not what it use to be.

Where in New England? Any particular place in mind?
I went to grad school in Toronto (U of T, Computer Science) and really
liked it, but that was 35 years ago :-).

I like Boston. It has some of the best universities, and colleges such
as Harvard University, MIT, Boston College, and Boston University. I
read somewhere that Massachusetts is a literary state of America.

U of T is okay, for some courses. Here is the thing, they don't teach
UNIX, Linux, and few other OS. Students coming of it these days are
flipping burgers One the plus side, it's the best place to get
dates :-)
