If you eat more calories than you expend, you will gain weight, even
if you eat nothing but the items on the list. For example, large
bagels can have more calories than a doughnut, even without anything
on them, so whole grain or not, you need to use your brain.
All I got from that list was eat lean broiled meat like chicken or
fish, whole grains, and lots of fruits and veg. Yawn. Nothing new in
that advice, excellent though it is.
