Default Fun on the hamstring machine!

I'd not been doing weights for about a month, because the water
aerobics and swimming was literally whipping my ass! But yesterday, I
felt like getting some weights done, so I went to the gym.

But the fun part, when I got on the seated hamstring curl machine, was
that the pad you clamp down on your thighs was able to clamp down a
whole notch more!!!!!!

Slimmer thighs! OK, maybe not by much, it wasn't real comfortable, but
I couldn't put the pad there before at all! I could swear that I am
looking a bit smaller in the mirror... I noticed that when I was doing
dumbbell curls. I hope it is not just my imagination!

Had not lost much progress on weights, so I guess the resistance work
in the water was working my arms pretty well.

And this morning... the scale was down to 237... though I'm not sure
if I'm believing that yet, so no signature change unless it stays
there for sure.

Cool! This is an example of what some people call an NSV -- for Non-
Scale Victory -- a concept I like :-).

Oh, no doubt about it, I've been better the past week. Minimal
disruption, very focussed on getting all my meals in. Also very
focussed on getting liquids in.

I try to eat 5-6 meals a day, each having lean protein, veggies or
fruit and healthy fats. It's easiest when I prepare one or two days
worth of salads first thing in the morning and put them in 2 cup
ziploc containers. Then I can grab and eat on the fly. Of course,
sometimes I don't plan as well as I might and I botch the grocery
shopping and have to improvise.

However, for me, it seems like I do best losing when I'm getting my
exercise in. Otherwise, I tend to stall easy.

Yeah, I'm big on those. It's all the little improvements that really
jazz me... the scale can go up and down day to day, so I don't get too
crazed over what it says.

But I love it when suddenly I can lift heavier or swim faster, or am
actually SMALLER!

And run with it... LOL! Hoping to get hubby to come do water aerobics
with me tomorrow... he's off, and I think he might enjoy it. But we'll
see. He is the perennial late to bed, late to rise kind of guy.
