Good. Those are one of the best exercises you can do I think. In fact,
I haven't heard any cons, only pros for them. Some people at my gym
are able to read and do the exercises. Most though just watch TV or
listen to music. Wish they would put one with the pedals closer
together though because when I walk or jog, my feet aren't that far
apart and there is more stress on my hips using elipticals, so I use
the treadmill and weights and situps. They say that cross-country
skiing, at least the way it is done in the olympics with power skiing
is about the most aerobic and calorie burning exercise there is, but
of course running would be too. It is just that when you get older, if
you run, you eventually get joint or back problems including some
numbness in your toes or shin splints or hip problems, etc. so I think
you made a good choice if you only have one piece of equipment. dkw |
