| | | Here we go I finally conquered my aversion for exercise and now I'm doing what I said,
a couple of weeks ago, I planned to do.
30 minute workout in the morning -- ab crunches, pushups, yoga and T'ai Chi
20 minute workout after lunch -- a walk
25 minute workout at night -- warmups and Tae Bo
I lost a couple of pounds as of two weeks ago, when I did 2 lunchy walks and
3 night workouts. I also took a 3 mile walk each of the last 3 Saturdays.
Haven't weighed myself since.
I feel terrific -- love those endorphins! As well as the feeling of
accomplishment and that I've finally made a conquest of -- myself! |

:-)
Personally, there are some things I enjoy and some I don't. I'll try
anything a couple of times, but if I don't like it, I don't push it. Like,
I don't like treadmills. I don't like any machine that tells me what to do
when -- it feels forced and uncomfortable. In contrast, that's exactly what
some people do like about treadmills -- they just zone out and walk or run
as fast as the machine tells them to, without thinking about it or making
any decisions.
I hope you find lots of things you like.

Sounds like it's about as cold there as it is here in Peru, IL (where
we're spending the night). I hope it's warmer in Dayton when I'm there
next month :-).

Temperatures have been around 20 degrees lower than average for this
time of the year.
Sunday's breakfast ride was terrible. We cut the 35 miles down to 28
due to 40 degree temps, 20+ mph winds with gusts up to 35 mph and a few
rain sprinkles. It was great when the wind was at our back
Hopefully we'll get back to normal temperatues soon!

get to hear the birds and see the seasons change, cross paths with little
animals and people I know, and so on. Much more interesting.

I really don't mind the treadmill. By the time I get home from work it's
too dark to walk outdoors. I dislike using the bike indoors on the trainer.
It just doesn't seem right to be pedaling and not going anywhere

Today we drove across the north of Ohio -- we're spending the night in
Macedonia (near Cleveland). In the northwestern part of the state
there was a pretty good dusting of snow along the north-facing side of
the roadway. It's definitely cold for October! (Of course, I hear
they're expecting blizzards in Colorado, so I guess this isn't bad by
comparison.)
