Default I've decided not to count my calories

Things have been going out of control. I purge whenever I've eaten too
many calories. I'm binging a lot and trying to restrict to no avail.
I'm binging on junk food, probably because I don't eat all day and am
starved when I get home.

I've decided to listen to my pdoc and eat normally. I'm going to try
not counting calories. I'm going to eat all the veggies, fruit and lean
protein I want to. I'm going to eat whenever I'm hungry and not skip
meals. Hopefully by filling myself up with healthy foods I will not
want to binge on junk food. I'm going to forget about losing weight.
I'm not going to weigh myself. I'm going to use my treadmill everyday
and practice walking and jogging until I can jog the whole 30 mins.

Instead of using my little notebook to record calories, I'm going to
use it to record exercise.

Wish me luck, I'm going to need it.

This sounds like it might be a better approach for you, Jenny. I hope
it does work out.

You have my very best wishes for all the luck in the world.

Don't replace under-eating with over-exercising :-) Do strength-training
as well as cardio.

Eat essential fatty acids -- good fat -- without it you can't build muscle,
and remember your heart's a muscle. Eat complex carbs and lots of protein.
Eat fruits and vegetables. Then, and only then, you can eat simple carbs
and saturated fat -- if you have any room left :-) You won't. And you'll
feel great.

This sounds like a sensible approach as you have issues with food.
It's been the "all or nothing" approach to food that has caused so
many of my problems. I can remember a time years ago, in the days
when I believed I had to starve myself if I was going to lose weight.
I was so obsessed with calories that eating 1001 instead of 1000 on
one day could send me into a binge that lasted weeks. Too much
counting isn't always a good thing for everyone.

I hope your new approach works, but be careful not to get too
obsessive about recording the exercise.
