Hi,

I've been checking out your newsgroup, and at the moment I don't know
if I'll be posting, lurkin or forget about it in the future, but
anyway ...

I just spent about nine month getting some decent excercise habits and
now that I've started to see some results, that is [checks in
microscope] muscles, and I had to move the button on my skirt (about 3
cm) So now it's time to think about the food stuff. Step 1 was fairly
easy to decide on, cut down on the really bad stuff, sugar. Actually I
did some of that when I found out I was a diabetic, but since I'm on
insulin I can get away with a fair amount of it, and I have decided
that "a fair amount" has to be reduced :-). Step 2 is worse, I have
been checking the net for information on how to go on, and it's d***n
confusing, low calorie, low carb, paleolithic, low fat, high carb, the
list seems endless, well you probably know more about them than I do
at them moment. Low carb kind of make sense for somebody with
diabetes, and I suspect that the calory intake cannot be higher that
what I use :-(. And I'm not giving up on being a vegetarian.

Anyway, since the excercise took nine months, I'm giving the diet
stuff a year, to try different things and see what works, and
hopefully end up with some good habits. Any weight loss could take a
longer time, the immediate goal is to find out what works and make a
habit of it.

So, since I might be using your group as a resource I thaought I
should say "hi".

Lisbeth.
