Default Marathon Training week 7

Well, week 6 went just fine, no probs, did 'em all and stuff. Finished with
the 26.2 (that's the local running club name by the way) Valentines 10k.
Didn't break 50 mins which annoys me because I've done it in training. I'm
just really crap at pacing and basically wasted the first 2 miles. But they
give you choccie at the end so always worth a bash!! Plus another t-shirt
to go on the pile. Apparently, some companies will make your race t-shirts
up into duvet covers. I might do that cos I never wear them! Bodypump this
afternoon with even more shouty horrid instructor who also tries to sing
(as Flanders and Swann used to say about the Welsh) far too often and
flaaaaat!

So week 7 is

Mon Rest
Tue 1M jog, then 9 x 2 mins up hill with slow jog/walk down, then 1M jog
Wed 7M (approx 70 mins) slow
Thu 6M (approx 55 mins) steady
Fri Rest
Sat 15M (approx 2hrs 35) slow
Sun 4M (approx 42 mins) easy

After today we are in single figures of weeks to go! Good!

You're doing great. You know you can do it so don't worry about this one
run.

I've been thinking about doing the same with the t-shirts I receive from
sponsored bike rides. There are only a few I actually wear.

Rachel -- Good for you! Keep it up!

My daughter had race t-shirts made into a duvet and really liked the
result. It does look pretty neat. Not cheap, but pretty darned cool!
And I'd imagine quite comforting to fall asleep with evidence of
accomplishments all around one. I used to have a lot of running shirts
and I wish I had converted them as well. Now, over the space of 25
years, I remember the races more vaguely than before.

Yours truly,

Caleb
