Default never satisfied

i just ate 3 cookies, a hot dog, and a box of fries..but i'm still
hungry. my stomach's satisfied, but my mouth's not. my my is watering.
it needs a drink so i have a drink, and i want more of the sugary
drink, because it feels good on my mouth..it's like i can't stop. i
can't identify the emotion that's making me do this.

does anybody else have a similiar experience?

Hi I don't have a weight 'problem' or issues with diet but I am a
nurse. Can you identify a trigger - something that makes you have a
craving for sugar? do you have a constant thirst or any symptoms you
can identify ( in which case see you doctor) or is this purely a
craving? take care x

instead of my mouth i said my my in the first post. Ellie, I have
cravings for junk food a lot. i feel better at more focused after i eat
junk food. I feel like I could do other activities without being
distracted after I eat junk. If I eat healthy food I feel deprived and
empty. that's the best way i could describe it. these feel like
physical feelings.

Shoot, I didn't even notice...

When I have these feelings of not being satisfied, it's usually either
because I didn't fuel my body properly, or I'm bored. Try getting out for a
brisk walk, if you are sure you ate the kinds of food that will
nutritionally satisfy you.

Atkins Induction is designed as a boot camp to turn off any physical
cravings gotten from eating food like this. There are sure to be other
systems that feature elimination and challenge principles.

Hi again,

You probably feel better after eating 'junk' food as the high fat
content also gives you the energy boost that you need. It sound very
much like a 'feel good' thing. I suppose it depends on what you
describe as healthy food. For example if you eat salad you won't
necessarily feel as 'full' or as energetic as you would after eating
fast/junk food. Also if your eating mostly ready meals (or TV dinners)
these contain alot of additives and have a high salt content which can
increase your blood pressure.

This doesn' mean that you can't or shouldn't eat fast food because if
you feel deprived it creates a psychology that your punishing yourself-
so you will feel much lower and your cravings will increase. so do
continue to eat your favourite things but try and gain control over
what you eat and when. It's about moderation. You will be able to come
up with alternatives and your confidence will soar. I do understand
that this is hard. Maybe I could help if you give me an idea of what
your tastes are, and you what you are like as a person, age etc. Also
sometimes your lifestyle affects your diet stress can be a trigger to
eat more or less it depends on the individual. i hope this has helped a
little. take care x

Hi Ellie. I'm 21 and my tastes lean towards salty and sweet. I either
want one or the other depending on my mood. I have some emotional
problems too, so that's also a reason why I overeat. But when I'm in
control of my emotional problems I have physical cravings to deal with.
