Default NYT article about low calorie diets and long life - thoughts?

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/31/he...tml?ref=health

The guy mentioned in the article is six feet tall and 135lbs. There is
no way his stats are healthy. He probably doesn't have any muscle mass
at all, or does he? Any thoughts on the article?

For many people, the trade off may not be worth it. Long life isn't
everything. I think research also shows longevity increases when baby
animals are fed less. Problem is they don't grow as well and have
undersized brains. That's not a trade off most parents would choose. I
can't help thinking that restricting calories 30% wouldn't leave a
person weak and listless, too. dkw
