I have some of the WW programme from 1969 in my head as I did it at
the time. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone though - thank goodness
we're more enlightened nowadays.
The bits I remember are - fish 5 x a week, liver 1x (compulsory), red
meat max 3 x. Some green veg (known as No 3 veg) unlimited. Other
veg (known as No 4 veg) such as root veg, peas etc, 4 oz a day. Fresh
fruit 3 pieces a day. A very small list of "free" foods from which we
struggled to make revolting tasting recipes. A ration of skimmed milk
every day. Probably more rules than this, but that's all I can
remember.
