Default [sigh]

A little down, a little up, weeks, months... months roll into years; been at
this for a looong time -- its been a lifetime battle, really. A lot of
yo-yo-ing. I'm on the right track now. Down fifty pounds & maybe 40 or so to
go to "skinny" -- hope to be close by year end. Then there's the question of
hanging skin. Wait a year to see if it goes away by itself? Tummy tuck =
$5000. -- 298/249/2-ish?

I'm in a similar situation; 450 to 230 and lots of loose skin.
Awhile back I checked out "Cosmetic Surgery for Dummies."
It's not a pretty picture: 4 or 5 surgeries, 5-figure cost,
a lot of unpleasant recovery time, and all of the associated
risk of bad results and complications. It's a big decision.
It won't go away by itself, but it doesn't have to be removed
either. As was suggested in the book, the decision to not
have surgery is always there. That choice will always leave
you knowing where you stand. Things can and do go wrong.
Opting to leave well enough alone keeps the genie in the bottle.
On the other hand, nothing ventured nothing gained. If all I
had to go through was one $5000 surgery to be completely
satisfied, I'd probably do it.
