Default some buzz on alli

Came across an article and a form on alli. Anybody considering alli should
probably read up a bit on the side effects, which is what is being discussed
on the forum, and in part in the article.

It seems very expensive for so little weight loss. I wonder if you
could drink 4X as much coffee and lose the additional weight from the
caffeine jitters..... I mean treatment effect?

This would be useless to me since I only eat about 15 gms of fat an
entire day. Of course I am also thin, so don't need to diet anyway,
but I would be concerned about the cost, the side effects, the very
small benefit and possible long-term effects like fat-soluble vitamin
depletion. They do seem to be on the right track though. Now if they
could just allow only a quarter of ALL the calories to not be
metabolized like happens with a stomach restriction surgery, they
would have a winner....we could all eat like PIGS. I suppose gluttony
is still gluttony even if you aren't overweight though. I wonder how
taking Alli is different from just chewing a bunch of fatty foods and
spitting it out. That would avoid the digestive problems, although it
wouldn't be so great in public. LOL It seems to me diet control and
exercise have no equal. dkw

Alli is the same basic ingredient as the prescription diet aid Xenical
- which blocks fat absorption. Its only 1/2 the prescription
strength.

Bottom line is - if you want details and info on Alli and its effects,
check out the prescription xenical and its side effects. (gas,
bloating, runny stool, greasy leakage.)
