Most dieters fail at some point, statistically. My impression is that their
participation in support groups goes down along with failure.

We can hope he reached goal and doesn't need us anymore.

Yes, that's him. He was on a several serious low-calorie plan and
sounded very decided. Some thought his plan was too dangerous. Maybe
he got into trouble.
