Default What's A Good Diet?

Ok, so I have my own business and I am always at the office and don't
get home til anywhere from midnight to 2 AM, depending on what I am
working on, but my quesiton for you guys out there is how can I
maintain a good diet, or a better word meal plan, instead of eating
out all the time. Also, I don't eat fast food, only at restaurants
and I am in Manhattan Beach, so we have everything over here,
McCormick and Schmidts, CPK, Islands, LA Food Show, and many, many
restaurants. How can I maintain a good nutrition plan and still do my
work?

Thanks

Fast Food is poison, so you are OK there. However, restaurant food is a
gambling. If your goal is health, add a mini-refrigerator and a microwave
oven to the office. Bring food from home....

[IMHO]

Avoid the restaurants if you can. Cook your meals ahead of time, and
package them in leftover containers that you can take with you in a small
cooler to work. Do you have room for a small fridge at your desk? You can
stock that full of all sorts of healthy things - lowfat cottage cheese and
yogurt (especially greek yogurt), lowfat string cheese, fresh fruits, mixed
salad, frozen lean cuisine or healthy choice, sandwich fixin's, cut up
cooked chicken breast from last night's dinner, etc. It's not difficult,
you just need to plan ahead. Non-refrigerated staples that I used to keep
at my desk was high fiber bread and PB, canned soups from Progresso (low
fat/low cal), light popcorn, soy crisps, etc.

If you are going to eat out, stick to the grilled meats and fresh steamed
veggies. Avoid the bread and other starchy sides. Drink water or iced tea,
or diet soda if you must.

Just buy a tefal steamer. put fish, meat, veggies, grains etc... so
easy to cook with steamer. no oil, no frying, juicy, moist. and your
meal is always warm/hot.
