Default When to go on a diet

A good time to go on a diet is when the weather starts to get warmer. If
going on a diet in the winter time, such as January that would be a good
time to get sick.

A good time to go on a weight loss diet is when you're overweight. Eating
healthy won't make you sick no matter what time of year you start.

may is the best time to go on a diet...winters over and you can better
handle being hungry...you can start cutting out the fat and sugar now
without eating less and you might even lose a few pounds if you start
working out

Perhaps. The best time is more related to when you make the commitment
to change your lifestyle which is what you need to do to drop a lot of
weight and keep it off. If someone plans to drop a couple of pounds,
then gain it back, weather is as good a factor as any. Still, I agree
with you even if you aren't sure you can stay commited. It takes a
first step and the time has to be right for you. For me, the time was
after I was able to retire and did not have the pressure of work to
deal with that turned out to be the ideal time. I didn't know that fact
at the time though, but as I have lost the weight and kept it off this
time, I realize it is much easier not having to follow a work schedule.
Hopefully, the dieting won't make you sick, but healthier. dkw

I don't get the "diet-sick" relation...

Best time to go on a "diet", or rather to change one's lifestyle is always
now.. no matter when now is..

bullshit. A healthy diet and exercise boosts the immune system, no matter
what the weather.

How strange....
The best time to go on a diet is anytime your ready to do it.
Otherwise, your just kidding yourself.
It has absolutely nothing to do with the calendar!

It might have something to do with the calendar for some people. If
someone believes the calendar has something to do with it, then it does
FOR THEM. Just like a belief in God, for example. Now once you start a
different routine, it might even be that the person gets used to that
new routine and stays with it unless something changes. Dieting could
be just that simple for some people...not for you probably, but I can
identify with the statement. I have often started a routine, then kept
with it for no good reason other than it was a routine. I found myself
alternating between two shirts, whereas I have more than 100 shirts.
Why? Because my routine was to wash every second day, then just pack
those shirts for the gym. I could just as easily have walked from the
laundry room to my bedroom and get different shirts....but it was a
routine. Maybe dieting for Richard will result in a routine that lasts
a lifetime. dkw

If you lower your calorie intake to much, your resistant goes down and
presto you're sick. Ask your doctor or a nutritionist..

Funny, when I dropped my calories to 800 per day under the supervision of a
doctor I stopped getting sick all of the time.

As was stated before - proper nutrition and exercise actually BUILD the
immune system. Ask a real doctor or nutritionist.

False. I workout all year and go walking outside in the winter. I had one
cold each of the last 2 years and in 2006, it only lasted 1 day.

If you lower your calorie intake too much, you won't have a healthy
maintainable weight loss, so you're wasting your time.

Richard, did you ask YOUR doctor or nutritionist? What's his or her
name, please?

Ah! You're not saying the same thing as in your original post.

Yes, healthy, controlled eating coupled with exercise truly is the
silent killer....
Humans aren't designed to hibernate through winter!

Not the first time Richard has a nut theory. Here is one of them:

QUOTE

Generally speaking when would be a good time to get out of bed. 30
minutes
before sunrise or when. I change my time throughout the year because
the
sunsets have a gap of over two hours. Winter I get up at 7 and Summer I
get
up at 5 but I'm trying to zero in on a good time to get up before the
sun
throughout the year.

We've been taken for a ride by Richard. He often posts messages on
newsgroups, but very rarely replies to anyone who replied to him. I bet
we'll never hear from him again. Richard, you're a joke!

Not if you live in a southern climate. If you wait until the weather gets
warmer you are more likely to suffer from heat stroke from exercise and die
than you are if you start in the cooler weather and learn to adapt to the
heat of the warmer weather.

Today is always a good time to go on a diet if you are overweight!
