This was a good week, pretty much a repeat in running mileage, but I'm
definitely building a nice mileage base.
Running miles are like dollars in the bank.
Monday: weights and core work
Tuesday: 2 miles, hill work - this is always my hardest workout, but
one of the most important. I'm doing better at tackling some of those
tough hills
Wednesday: 3 miles - nice easy run
Thursday: 2 miles - half mile warm up, 1 mile tempo (a bit faster than
slow speed), half mile cool down
Friday: no workout
Saturday: 2.5 easy run
Sunday: 7 miles - today's run was great, although it's been warmer out
than usual. I've started to drink water during the last two miles of
the run, just to get used to it. It's been working ok and it helped
give me a little boost today
Mileage this week: 16.5 mi
Mileage in 2007 so far: 48.5 mi
My weight is down to 152 pounds. I've lost 2 pounds this week
Another great milestone: I bought a pair of black leather pants online
about 3 years ago in a size I usually wore (10) then. Well, this
particular brand ran small, so I found out, and I could never fit into
them. Until this week, when they fit and look great. I wore them last
night to see some bands and looked pretty darn good.

I do have to
remind myself to drink more water when I'm out at night; I was a bit
dehydrated this morning and had to intake a lot of water before my run.
