Default 43 years old (young)!!!

'Stopped having periods 3ish years ago. Kinda strange b/c they didn't go
away gradually. One month I had it (in December back then), and then I
never had one again. The month after, my mom died after a long battle with
cancer. I joke and say she took "it" with her.

So, here I am at 46 and just received notification that I have the
beginnings of Osteopenia (sp?). 'Am going to go to Walmart and look at the
different vitamins D3 that are out there. (This was recommended by my GYN).

I haven't posted here before. I kinda just jumped in with both feet. So,
I'm in full menopause, which started at age 43. Is that early to y'all?
It's one thing out of 1,000 things I forgot to ask my mom.

I wish you well,

Seems a bit early. I think the average is 50. I'm 50 and still having
periods.

It is a bit early but my mum did it just like you at age 42.

Early but not unheard of.

Osteopenia is a made-up disease. It means you have some bone loss, which
is perfectly normal as we age. Taking more vitamin D and calcium is a
good idea, but don't let them give you any meds for it.

Oh, and welcome!
