Free teleseminar? Sounds like you're selling something. No thanks.

What's a teleseminar?

It's a commercial for their product.

Hey, I know what it is...seriously, its a telephone seminar...they are
telemarketers and if you complete the survey they do you the honor of
phoning you and trying to sell you something!!

From the survey: " Thank you for completing the survey. The first 25
respondents to this survey will be able to participate in a
teleseminar for free. Please submit your email address and we will
send you an email if you have received the free teleseminar."

No I didn't do the survey.

I did - it was pretty badly constructed. I don't think the
information they will get will be very valuable since, for
openers, they didn't define "teleseminar."

And I didn't provide my email.

I don't mind answering a legitimate marketing survey, to see if a
product is worth developing or offering to a particular audience.
But, as others have pointed out, this one seemed more designed
to collect email addresses than to get information.

Only the first 25 get a free teleseminar. One of the questions asks how
much you'd be prepared to pay for a teleseminar. It ranged from $19.99
way up to $69.99!

But you pay for it. Wish I'd thought of that first.

Ah, yes - it we get to teleport to a cool &/or lovely place, & there's also
a choice of truly interesting seminars to pick from - to attend in-between
sightseeing - or maybe after lazing in turquoise waters next to a gorgeous
sand beach... it would then be worth it! ;-)

They weren't the first to think of it. I've often seen 'free' seminars
that tell you (usually) about some much longer seminar that will help you
become rich beyond your wildest dreams with no cash investment and no
effort on your part. Then after you pay for the longer seminar, you buy
the book. Or the tapes.

I don't know, but they can't be worth much, since nobody's selling one
on eBay.
