Three weeks into my 56th year, and I'm bleeding again. I haven't missed
any periods (at least, I think I haven't) and so I'm probably not even in
sight of the end. I may outlast sue mullen. (Are you out there, sue?)
If I think of the women who are missing 6-8 periods in a row only to
start again, I'm a bit envious. I know they're pissed when they start
again, and I understand why, but still.
But then I think of the women who are hemorrhaging for six weeks at a
time, and on balance, I have to say that I'm pretty lucky. Since the UAE
I don't bleed much (hence not being quite sure that I haven't skipped a
period) and these periods aren't particularly inconvenient. In fact, it
took two years after the UAE to use up the supplies I had already laid in
for the next period.
So all in all, I can't complain. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. :-)
