OT: Apology?

In his letter to the Catholic League today, Hagee said he now
understands that other terms he used to describe the church - "the
great whore" and the "apostate church" - are "rhetorical devices long
employed in anti-Catholic literature." He said he had gained a better
understanding in recent weeks of the Catholic Church's relationship to
the Jewish faith. Hagee wrote of his "profound respect for the
Catholic people" in the letter and said he hoped to advance "greater
unity among Catholics and Evangelicals."

Um, no, the official line was to make it clear that the Jews,
collectively, were NEVER responsable for the death of Jesus.

We don't have cable TV downstairs and our channels are limited, and a few
weekends ago I was flipping and I came across The Hagee Show. OMG.
I was strangely compelled to watch him (I was just trying to figure out who
the scantily clad woman on the many-headed tiger depicted on the poster
behind him was, I think it was the Whore of Babylon). The words that came
out of his mouth were just horrifying. Then I realized, THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT
THERE THAT BELIEVE WHAT HE PREACHES.
That scares me.
