Default [OT] Close your curtains, Google is coming to town!

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/01/te...01private.html

"Ms. Kalin-Casey, who manages an apartment building here with her
husband, John Casey, was a bit shaken when she tried a new
feature in Google’s map service called Street View. She typed in
her address and the screen showed a street-level view of her
building. As she zoomed in, she could see Monty, her cat, sitting
on a perch in the living room window of her second-floor apartment."

It's only available in a few cities... so far.

Here's a link to an instructions page.

http://maps.google.com/support/bin/a...6#street_views

From the following link, click on the "Street Views" box in the
upper right of the map, and then click on a camera in the cities
where it is available... and see what you can see.

Phew! I can see my skylights, driveway and front parking court, but no
inside views!

It keeps telling me I need Flash 9. I have Flash 9. It doesn't care.

So far, plain ol' Google maps/satellite imagery here; can't see Herrie or
Demelza sitting in the windows, or me getting ready for work. ;-) Did take
a look-see at where it is available, though. And sent the info on to an
English friend who loves NYC.
