I love him. Somehow he's right on my wavelength, no matter what he's
talking about. He had a 1/2 hour show on BBC America for a while, and I
set my DVR to record it. He doesn't hide his education, which I think
is his downfall in the states. He's not as well understood over here
since few get a good grounding in the classics any more.

if you like him, i think his dvd 'dressed to kill' is the best of his
stand-up that is available. there are clips on youtube, but alot
doesn't work as well out of context. from the glorious dvd, which is
where the computer clip is from, there is some funny stuff about
things as diverse as the grim reaper with a lawn mower to toasters/
showers to procreation to pavlov's cats. anyway, you get the idea.

yeah, he's often on my wavelength as well. & i love the fact that he
delves into the classics & history & religion & everything else. but
i think that you are right about him not being understood as well here
as a result. & he makes fun of that as well.
