| | | OT: I might be a member of a hate group Well, yes, if a certain Judge is correct http://www.lifesite.net/ldn/2006/dec/06121307.html
It is to be hoped for that this shocking news does not upset my three
cats
I have been fasting 13 November - 23 December. It was strange at first
to be hungry much of the time, and stranger still as to how quickly I
got used to it. Lost about 1 - 2 pounds a week and now down to 170
pounds. 24 December - 1 January are non-fasting days, and I have to be
careful not to put the pounds on again. |

Harry, out of curiosity: When you were a Pagan you believed your cats had
souls and that you would see them again in the next life, but the Catholic
Church teaches that animals have no souls and do not have an afterlife. Is
this difficult for you to accept? If I believed in an afterlife at all it
would give me a lot of difficulty.

Surely you don't support the opposition to gay adoption?
When I was RC, the local hierarchy was always saying things I disagreed
with. Sometimes I'd go stand outside the Chancery with a sign about it!

Yes, it is difficult to accept, but one can always hope for loopholes.
And love and cherish them anyways |

Dunno about thers but it's nearly impossible
for *me* to accept! http://www.myrtlebeachonline.com/mld...l/16310793.htm

Under vows of obediance, chastity, and penance; yes. For SOME
definitions of "support". But not, for example, donations of time and
money to such support. Nor much else besides pious wishes. |

24 December:
Max is holding up well. I weighed him this morning, and he is holding
at 9 pounds. Silver and Fluffy are well, although I still cannot figure
out their mock-fights. A couple of times it would seem as if Silver was
trying to mount his half-sister, who replied "not tonight dear, I have
a headache, teeth that bite, and claws that tear flesh". The noise and
ruckus may have had the neighbors thinking I was torturing both cats.
But the teeth did not break skin, and all claws were sheathed. And an
hour later they are sleeping on my bed, cuddled together. Very strange.
Since today was my first day off in three weeks, I was hoping that my
being home all afternoon would give me some playtime and bonding time
with the three cats. Nope, at 2 PM, just as they have always done, the
trio settled in their heated beds for an afternoon nap. I joined them,
as I wanted to rest up for the Midnight Mass. (Held at midnight in this
Parish.) That's about two hours from now.
Under whatever name or names you regard this time of year, may it be an
occassion for new hope in our lives |

Heh. It's clear you've only known mature cats. What you've described is
normal behavior for younger cats. Perhaps Silver and Fluffy are
celebrating the holiday by recalling their rough-and-tumble youth.

I don't understand what that means.

Why do you think that gay people shouldn't be allowed to adopt? Do you
realize that there are many many disabled or older adoptable children
who would have been left in state run institutions were it not for gay
couples who adopted them and gave them loving homes? What is your
objection to that? Do you think it should be illegal for us to *have*
children?
