Reminded me of the late, unlamented Joshua Light Show at the Fillmore East.

It was awful! You'd go there and wait endlessly for the concert to start,
and they'd "entertain" you in the meantime with this supposedly psychedelic
light show which basically looked like amoebas swimming around in gel--much
like the video accompaniment of the song you posted.

A little bit like the "Happenings" in the Art dep't. in college in the very
late 60's - very early 70's. ;-)

Uh, I don't think you were supposed to watch either of those unless you
were under the influence of something.

I was. That was the problem, trying not to pass out before the show
started. (:^)

We didn't have cell phones then. Nowadays everyone would be sitting in the
audience talking or texting happily away, or playing with their Game Boys,
or whatever.

I wasn't - not even alcohol (re: the latter - at least not when at the
Happpenings). The first one was actually kinda cool, but after that they
began to lose their appeal... maybe if I'd had a couple of drinks first, it
would've helped. ;-)
