| | | ot-not a magic trick having a fogged morning & this question may seem like a no-brainer,
but when i locate my brain i will delete it (the post, that it is).
i dropped my biteguard into a dirty kitchen sink, so i'm taking all
answers on the best way to clean it. bleach seems obvious but scary
to me.
thanks,

Soaked in alcohol, maybe? But then rinsed off throughly to get rid of the
taste.

I'd be inclined to use the sterilising tablets/fluids meant for baby
bottles.
Having washed the thing as much as possible in clean hot water with an
old clean toothbrush first.

Hydrogen peroxide 3% soak for about 10 min will do.(also used as mouth wash)
That's what we soak trach tubes in to debug.Rinse well in running water and
it'll be fine.

I'd soak ot in a diluted bleach solution. I used to use those fizzy
denture cleaner tablets on mine periodically, then scrub with a
toothbrush.

well, this is a versatile group. & no one even laughed at me (at
least online anyway). i think i may go with the hydrogen peroxide;
that will kind of continue that old thread of the multiple uses of
it. always use those fizzy denture tabs as well.

You realize, don't you, that when someone makes a typo she makes
the rest of us feel so much better!

This last is easy, I think - I would shear it back a lot, like you would
alyssum. Will look simply green (obviously) for a while, but should then
come back nice & lush/full!

thanks cathy,
i took out the scissors & was giving it quite a coiffure (it's in a
big planter) when my elderly east european neighbors vigorously
cautioned me to be careful with my poni moda (crud, if i can't even
track my english, i sure can't accurately come up with a european
hybrid). i think that they meant the plant...
