OT: Stimulus Checks

For those of you that have received your stimulus checks, did you
receive a letter before the check saying it was on the way? And if so
how long before?

I forgot to sign my tax return, but I owed taxes and paid them. I
never received anything to sign. I haven't heard from the IRS about my
tax return, but I also haven't heard about the rebate check either.

We haven't seen a check yet, but we did get the letter
telling us stimulus checks were coming - about a month ago.

We're a corporation so we file March 15 instead of April 15th,
but that indicates that the letter came about (?) 4-5 weeks
or so, after we filed.

If you listed a bank routing number along with an acct. number for a direct
deposit re: any possible tax refund owed you when your tax return was filed,
then it - the stimulus $ - was direct deposited.

I vaguely remember the letter, and my stimulus check was or will be
deposited directly into my savings account, which I will tap next
month to pay off the $1,500 or so on my credit card for major repairs
to my automobile at 60,000 miles.

I got the "your check is in the mail" letter. Didn't get the check, though.
Doesn't matter. It's already spent on last winter's heat bill.

We filed electronically, We got a letter telling us when it would be
deposited into our bank account..and by golly it was deposited on that day

We got the letter a few days after we got our direct deposit.

Dana@,

You'll probably eventually get a stimulus check, but not everyone is.
People like Hublet & I, who live strictly on our small nest egg,
aren't included in the stimulus program. We filed a tax return, but
didn't have much income or any government checks so no stimulus check.
